Paul Crago was born on 2nd August 1963 into an already famous family renowned and respected around the world for their equestrian prowess. It was therefore inevitable that he would follow in the footsteps of his mother and father. His father Brian represented Australia in the Stockholm and Rome Olympics winning a Three day event gold medal in Rome. His Mother Judy was one of Britain's leading international show jumpers between 1960 and 1977.

Paul's first major success was in Torhout, Belgium where he won the Grand Prix age just 17. He was a member of the British young rider team in 1982, 1983 and the silver medal winning team at the young riders European championships in 1984. He also won the British Olympic Trial at the Wales and West show the same year.

Paul first represented GB on a senior Nations Cup team in 1985 in Bratislava where he won the Grand Prix. Since then Paul has represented GB on several occasions in Nations Cup teams and international shows across Europe and in Sydney Australia.

Paul has also been very successful on the national circuit with Grand prix and area trial wins across the country. He has also been placed in the prestigious British jumping Derby at Hickstead. Paul is renowned on the circuit for his patience and expertise in producing young horses to international level.

Paul is a regular visitor to H.O.Y.S and is consistently placed there with his young horses.

Paul lives in Pangbourne Berkshire with his wife Karen herself a competitive dressage rider and their two young children, Hannah and Charlie.
